Community-Wide Garage Sale
Baldwin Township is having a community-wide garage sale on September 10 from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm. Please look for details in various local newspapers.

Dates to Pay School Taxes
School Taxes can be paid at the Municipal Building on the following dates and times:

Whitehall Pool Passes
The 2011 Swimming Passes for Whitehall pool may be purchased Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at the Municipal Building.

Cost per pass is $60.00
General Admission Rate is $6.00
Guest passes may be purchased by adult pass holders for use by visitors.

Pool Hours:
Sundays & Holidays: 1:00 pm to 6:30 pm
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays: 12:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Tuesdays & Thursdays: 12:30 pm to 6:30 pm - All Swimmers
  6:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Family Swim
  7:30 pm to 8:30 pm - Adults (part of pool)

Swimming Lessons are available during the months of June & July.

TOUCH OF OLD ENGLAND TOUR - COLUMBIANA COUNTY, OHIO
Sponsored by the Recreation Committee, this tour will depart Armstrong Park at 8:00 am on Tuesday, June 7, 20ll. Stops will include STONE GATE MANOR, an authentic Gothic-English Manor House, with stained glass windows, iron gates and more. We will enjoy a wonderful lunch at the historic SPREADEAGLE TAVERN where each room is decorated in period furnishings.

The trip also includes the GUIDED HANOVERTON TOUR & GRAND SOUTH LINCOLN AVENUE. We will tour Hanover House and the famous "Brick Row" with a costumed guide. There will be time for local shopping and dinner (on your own) at the MENNONITE FARM MARKET & DAS DUTCH VILLAGE SHOPS. We will return home by 8:00 pm.

Easter Activities
Easter Activities for Baldwin Township will be held on Sunday, April 17, 2011 - Rain or Shine - at the Community Building from 1:30 to 3:30 pm.

If you plan on attending, please email info@baldwintownship.com, because we'd like to get an idea of how many children will be there.

Revised Bus Route
Port Authority Bus Route 41G has been revised and renamed 35 Sunset Hills. 35 Sunset Hills now operates as a feeder route between Dormont Junction T Station and Whitehall at Baptist and Weyman roads. It will operate on Hamilton, Baptist, Weyman and Roberts roads via 6th St. to Killarney T Station (Blue Line), Wabash Ave. and Dormont Junction (Red Line). Service between Dormont Junction and Downtown Pittsburgh is discontinued. Service to Downtown is available by transferring to the T, 41 Bower Hill or 41D Brookline. Service will run Monday through Friday from 5:23am to 6:57pm; it will not operate on Saturday, Sunday, New Year's Day, Memorial Day,  Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Notice of Award - Professional Actuarial Services for Police Pension Plan & Service Employees’ Pension Plan
Take notice that the Township of Baldwin has voted to award contracts (2) for actuarial services relative to its Police Pension Plan and its Service Employees’ Pension Plan, in response to RFPs requesting submissions by on or before August 23, 2010. At a regularly scheduled public meeting on or after September 27, 2010, the Township intends to authorize execution of contracts with the successful respondent in accordance with its RFP and Service Provider Agreement. A true and correct copy of the RFP , including required disclosure forms, and the Service Provider Agreement, may be examined here

Baldwin Township Community-Wide Garage Sale

Actuarial Services - Police Pension Plan And Service Employees’ Pension Plan


Baldwin Township is seeking proposals for actuarial services relative to its Police Pension Plan and also for its Service Employees’ Pension Plan. The RFPs, including specifications, procedures to compete for the work, and required disclosures, may be downloaded by clicking on the links below:

The specifications are set forth in the RFPs. The RFPs include detailed questions associated with qualifications, experience, expertise and compensation to be charged.

As set forth in the RFPs, the response should include several disclosures including a completed Disclosure Statement. The Township reserves the right to request additional information from any or all respondents, to waive any defect or abnormality, to award or not award all or any portion of the described work, to issue modifications or to otherwise move forward in the best interest of the Township.

In order to compete for this work, a response to the RFPs should be made as per the RFP and should be delivered by on or before August 23, 2010 to:

Easter Activities Cancelled
Due to the Easter Holiday being early this year, the rental of the Community Building, and the inclement weather, all Easter Activities have been cancelled for 2010.

Grove Road Bridge Closure
The Grove Road Bridge at Grove Rd - Route 88 - Sleepy Hollow Rd - Willow Ave will be closed for replacement until mid-July 2010. Posted detours will be established in attempt to move traffic on to main state routes.

In Baldwin Township, there will be postings on Rte 88 and along Castle Shannon Blvd and McNeilly Rd. Because traffic will try to come down Sleep Hollow to Rte 88, postings for the bridge closure will be at Country Club Dr and Briarwood with the detour sending traffic east to Summit to Dewalt to McNeilly and west to Audobon to Anawanda to Castle Shannon Blvd.
