Household Chemical Collection
The first Pennsylvania Resources Council Household Chemical Collection of 2013 will take place Saturday, May 4, from 9 am to 1 pm at the North Park Swimming Pool parking lot. Acceptable materials include paint and paint products, automotive fluids, photo and pool chemicals, kerosene, mercury, household cleaners, chemistry sets and more. The cost to safely dispose of toxic chemicals is $2 gallon/ cash only. For more information, check this link.
Mary McGinley Retiring
The Baldwin Township Board of Commissioners wish to thank Mary McGinley for her 38 years of service as Secretary/Manager for the Township. Her professionalism and dedication to the position have kept the Township of Baldwin a wonderful place to live and raise a family.

The Castle Shannon Volunteer Fire Department has two different types of memberships:
Firefighters (members who participate in all activities) and Associate Members (members who cannot participate in firefighting, but wish to assist).

Covered Device Recycling Act
Under Pennsylvania's new Covered Device Recycling Act, Waste Haulers in the Commonwealth are now unable to pick up old televisions, computers, and peripheral devices for disposal. For information on nearby recycling facilities, see the Recycling Section of the Allegheny County Health Department.
